Students from boomsatsuma’s Sports Media Production course, based at Ashton Gate Stadium, spent the day creating content for the Bristol Met Basketball team’s upcoming season, October 2022.

Extending the strong ties between boomsatsuma and the Met Basketball Programme, and another great collaboration with the Cabot Learning Federation family, the Level 3 Sports Media Production students photographed the players for their annual media day 2022/23 as they prepare to defend their National Champion status.
Tom Hooper, Head Coach of the Met Basketball Programme at Bristol Metropolitan Academy stated:
“The Bristol Met Basketball Programme prides itself on providing a wide range of opportunities to students in and out of the classroom. The basketball programme, in conjunction with boomsatsuma, wants to immerse its student athletes in the most professional of environments in order to prepare them for not only elite sports, but also life after education.
“The media day was a way for students to capture memorable content of their time with us but also understand the media responsibilities of professional athletes and how this works to promote the sport and brand.”
Reece Morrell, boomsatsuma’s Project Manager commented;
“We have worked with Bristol Met Basketball teams for many years, so it was great for our students to be back photographing the all the players and sharing insights as to what the media might expect of a modern sports star.
“Our Sports Media Production students support a number of professional sports teams every year. Whether it’s match day reporting, photography, filming or media days such as this, it is a very real experience, where their output is a great asset to be used by the teams.”
